Areas of Focus

Women’s Mental Health

As women, we often carry many roles and responsibilities while putting our own needs last. Whether you’re navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, low self-esteem or motherhood it’s easy to feel like you’ve lost yourself along the way. You deserve to feel like yourself again, and you don’t have to navigate the journey alone.

Trauma

Whether you’ve experienced childhood trauma, a difficult relationship, a single overwhelming event, or years of carrying burdens that no one else could see, you don’t have to continue facing it alone. I utilize EMDR, CBT and other trauma- informed techniques to help your nervous system heal, and integrate your story into your day to day life.

Anxiety

Anxiety can feel overwhelming, constant, and exhausting at times but you don’t have to navigate it alone. Using evidence based techniques we’ll work together to reduce symptoms and build practical coping tools. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, confident, and able to move through life with greater ease.

A Little About Me

I believe healing is possible, no matter what you’ve been through. As a licensed clinical social worker, I’m passionate about helping people rediscover hope and develop a deeper connection with themselves. I believe you’re the expert on your own story. My role is to create a space where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported as we work together toward the life you want to build. I utilize evidence-based approaches, including CBT, EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing, tailoring treatment to your unique needs.

Early in my career, I worked with individuals struggling with addiction. Again and again, I saw that beneath the substance use was something deeper—unresolved trauma. Whether it stemmed from childhood experiences, painful relationships, grief, or other difficult life events, I realized that healing trauma often changes everything else. That experience shaped the therapist I am today and led me to specialize in helping people process the past so it no longer controls the present.

Outside the therapy room, you’ll usually find me reading a good book, taking a Pilates class, watching Netflix, or spending time outdoors with my family and our dog. I believe caring for ourselves through movement, connection, and moments of rest is an important part of healing.

What is SAFE EMDR?

After working with so many clients struggling with unresolved trauma, I wanted a therapy approach that helped people heal on a deeper level and not just manage their symptoms. That led me to SAFE EMDR, (somatic and attachment based eye movement desensitization reprocessing.) which combines the effectiveness of EMDR with a greater focus on the body and attachment. I’ve completed advanced training and certification in SAFE EMDR so I can provide this specialized approach to clients seeking trauma healing.

What Makes SAFE EMDR Different?

Sometimes, when we experience something overwhelming, our brain doesn’t fully process the memory. Instead, it can get “stuck,” causing certain memories, emotions, or situations to continue feeling as painful as they did when they first happened. SAFE EMDR adds something important to EMDR by focusing on attention to the body (the “somatic” part) and to the healing power of connection (the “attachment” part).

How Does EMDR Work?

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) helps your brain process those memories so they no longer feel overwhelming. During therapy, we’ll gently revisit difficult experiences while using guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation. This helps your brain do what it was naturally designed to do: heal.

The goal isn’t to erase your memories. It’s to help them lose their emotional intensity so you can move forward while feeling calmer, more confident, and no longer controlled by the past. You don’t have to relive every detail of your trauma to heal. Together, we’ll move at a pace that feels safe and manageable while helping your brain processes experiences that have kept you feeling stuck.
